Doctor-to-be Sophie and her little son Klaus are returning to their native village. Upon their arrival, they find out that a strange death has left everyone in a state of shock. A boy had collapsed and died – with no clue as to the cause of death. Although the authorities suspect a cardiac defect, the townspeople are quick to attribute the child’s death to the old legend of a mysterious creature that comes into town and takes the lives of the children. Apparently it is only those young, potential victims that are able to see the so-called "Angel Maker”. Klaus is scared and tells hismother about a faceless dark man who is watching him and the other children at the schoolyard. When a teenager dies at a Halloween Party that very same evening, an immediate panic grips the entire town. Sophie teams up with her former childhood friend Mark, a teacher, to investigate the incident. While the parents fearfully barricade themselves in their houses, the teenagers take matters into their own hands and search for the murderer. Feverishly, Sophie and Mark hunt for further information on the deaths. They do not have much time: the "Angel Maker” has already chosen his next victim…
