Since the death of his wife, celebrity physician Dr. Anton „Toni" Tanner avoids meaningful relationships. At 60 he is still quite the catch and typically has affairs with much younger women. Together with his latest conquest Daniela, who is barely half his age, he plans on taking a vacation at an idyllic villa. Unfortunately, the house has been mistakenly rented to author Julia and her retired father Arthur. Once a star chef, Julia has stepped out of the limelight and now devotes herself to writing cookbooks. Because no other villas are available, the two parties grudgingly agree to share the holiday rental. However, from the minute they meet, Julia and Toni can hardly stand each other. When handsome Stefan has a water-skiing accident Daniela, Julia and Toni come to his aid. To express his gratitude, Stefan invites them to his restaurant. It turns out he has read all of Julia’s cookbooks, and adores her, which makes Toni jealous and triggers a chain of unfortunate circumstances ultimately leading to his arrest.
